November, 2007 (Lymington, United Kingdom) – The much-awaited third album from British instrumental composer and producer Mat Dickson is now available.

“Land’s End” is the perfect partner to his two previous Lighthouse-inspired albums “The Keeper’s Log” and “The Lighthouse Keeper”. The famous Cornwall landmark and its lighthouses on the tip of south-west England provide the backdrop to Mat Dickson’s latest evocative instrumental music composed in tribute to lighthouses and their keepers. As a member of the Association of Lighthouse Keepers, Mat was moved to compose a personal musical tribute to the bravery and dedication of these men of a now bygone era.

A blend of instrumental Celtic folk and ambient progressive rock, the music creates a highly atmospheric soundscape, reflecting the ever-changing moods of the sea and the sky around a lighthouse; from storm to calm, cloud to sunshine – stimulating to relaxing, contemplative to uplifting.

Mat Dickson’s guitar-based music has often been compared by reviewers to that of Mike Oldfield, Mark Knopfler’s Celtic-flavoured soundtracks, Marillion guitarist Steve Rothery and Breton guitarist Dan Ar Braz.

However near or far you may find yourself from the coast, the inspiring and relaxing music of Land’s End will take you on a journey where time stands still – where the everyday world can become just a speck on the horizon in your mind’s eye. A musical breath of sea air to help you unwind!

“you make the soundtrack of my dreams…” – Robert Silverstein, 20th Century Guitar (NY)
